Position Title: Jet Installer-Watertest

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The employee in this position is responsible for duties as assigned.  The main duties for this position include operating a spray gun and utilizing hand rollers that apply liquid resin, and catalyst to mold surfaces, roving, and chopped fiberglass used in manufacturing fiberglass spas and bathtub by performing the following duties.  The individual is responsible for other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school education or GED equivalent preferred but not required, with some maintenance experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The main job duties involved with the installation of Jets in Water Test:

 

  • Peel plastic from tub shell
  • Read work order to see spa add on
  • Check drawing for type of jets needed
  • Collect jets from shelf
  • Reach in or climb into tub for installation
  • Install jets according to drawing
  • Make sure jets are in open position
  • Put speakers in and do the wiring for them
  • Check for chips or cracks around and inside of tub
  • Install diverters and gaskets
  • Stick topside down and apply correct topside label
  • Scan work order into shop track
  • Other duties as assigned

This position requires Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to be worn as required:

  • Safety Glasses with side shields
  • Safety shoes
  • Protective gloves and/or sleeves as needed

This job includes constant standing and walking for 10 hours per day with an exception of a 30-minute lunch period and two 15-minute breaks.

SKILLS PREFERRED:

Computer knowledge with scanning tickets, ability to use light hand tools assembly of spa parts and minimum wiring capabilities.

 

INTERACTIONS:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos, ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one setting to customers and fellow employees.

 

TRAINING TO BE PROVIDED:

Employees to attend as required any routine safety and other company training that is deemed necessary for this position.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Typically:  Tuesday – Friday (Days), Monday-Thursday (Nights)

Hours: 10 hours per day (4-day work week)

Breaks:  2- 15 minutes

Lunch:  30 minutes

 

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

  1. Inclement weather conditions – heat and cold
  2. Dust
  3. Application chemicals and/or cleaning chemicals (Alcohol 99%)
